Meg is a Japanese Kimono princess, Madeline is the best Almond Joy we've ever seen (thanks to grandma), and Morgan the Mad Hatter from "Alice in Wonderland". Fun, Fun,Fun.

Amazing Acres- ESA
The 2nd annual Amazing Acres trip with the ESA group was last week. There was a good turn out. Thie kids had fun on the zip-line, slide, roasting hot dogs and making smores. Most of all getting lost in the corn maze once again. I thought we learned our lesson last year, apparently not. They went in (with Chuck and several other parents) at about 7:30, and finally came out after 9:30 when the owners had to go in after them. Crazy! It was so cold, and late. What a night! Some of our favorite people in these shots, Larry and Angie Scally, Kevin and Lesley Kast, Nick and Bridget Brady, Mark and Francie Boveri, Steve and Beth Staszeski, and of course Marissa.
YW Temple Night
Last week for Mutual we had a lesson on Temple marriage, Modest temple dresses,etc... All of us leaders brought our wedding dresses and temple dresses. The girls really enjoyed guessing who's dress was who's. The point was made that mine was the "flashiest"! I don't know quite what that means, but it was fun. Then afterward, we divided the girls up into teams and they made their own wedding dress out of napkins. Morgan had so much fun being the one dressed up. There were sure alot of laughs. I love the YW.
Fall, Fall, Fall
Fall is by far my very favorite time of year!! I love that we have treas in our front yard that change. This year I found the most amazing mums for my porch. They are almost ready to toss though because it's getting so cold at night, they are suffering. They doubled in size though and I have enjoyed them so much. Driving down the road right near our house I see these trees, several times a day. This one on the top right ios so amazing, with just the red leaves in the center. I must drive by this tree 4-6 times a day, and had never noticed it. The funniest thing happened. All five of us were in the car, going to a wedding a couple weeks ago, and as we turned the corner, we see this woman pulled off on the side of the road, taking a picture. I looked twice and it was Celeste! She was taking a picture of this amazing tree. I couldn't believe I had never noticed it. Life gets so busy. It made me realize I need to slow down and enjoy the beauty right in front of my nose. The very next day, I took these pictures so I can always remember Fall in IN.
Kosco Kipper's Meet
Meg's 2nd meet of the season, Madeline's 3rd. Kosco Kipper's in Warsaw, IN. Boy what a day! Had to have Meg there by 8:30 to compete, then Madeline started at 4:00. Didn't get home until after 9:30 that night. Both girls did great. Both placed on several events. Sometimes I wonder why we sacrefice so much for our girls to be gymnasts? But when I see how happy it makes them, that they are able to accomplish something that so many people are not able to do, It makes it all worth it! Maybe some day they will appreciate it.
Meg's 1st Meet 2010
Meg's first meet of the year. Sept. 19. 2010 was at Joy's in SouthBend. She came away with a few medals, but most of all had so much fun! I can't believe my baby is now competing level 3.
Go fly a kite!
There are just a few weeks from the end of Sept. into Oct. that is perfect kite flying weather here in IN. Madeline was determined to fly this kite that her Uncle Mark gave us about 5 years ago as a gift. She tried, tried, had Chuck help her try, had me help her try, then tried again. She was successful. She is now our expert kite flying kid!

The kids played forever on the playground, we played volleyball, soccer, and even flew Madeline's kite( I'm sad I forgot to take a picture of that). Great food! great friends!

Madeline's 10th Birthday
Madeline had quite a Birthday- Grandma was in town, so as usual, lots of spoiling occured. She wanted Grandma to bake her a cake with gigantic gumballs. She also chose to take one friend to dinner and a movie. She took Sammie her best friend from team. We went to Wild Bills Buffalo Wings. I know a weird choice, but it was her choice. Dinner took forever to get, and it was just ok. I don't think we will be returning. The highlight of the night was Madeline running into the glass door on the way into the restaurant, giving herself a black eye!

Maggie @ 9 weeks
What a perfect Birthday for Gina! We brought Maggie home today. She is so stinkin' cute. She has grown since the first time we saw her. She is almost 2 pounds now. See those tiles on the floor of the kitchen? They are 12x12 tiles. You can see how she measures up ! We feel like we have a newborn in the house. Chuck was very on top of things and typed up a schedule for her so we would know when to feed her and take her out to go potty. We are training her with the bell method, to try to teach her to ring it when she needs to go out. On her second day home she actually rang the bell with her little nose and when we took her out she went pee pee. Probably a flook, but none the less exciting. She was super cute playing with her lil. puppy toys. Her favorite by far is the tiny monkey she carts around(bottom left). Like I told Sarah, I have friends having babies, but I took the easy way out, and got a puppy. ( I have to say though, diapers are sure sounding appealing instead of puppy pads and accidents!)
Maggie Annabelle @ 5 weeks
This is our newest addition to the Lasley family. Santa asked us to come meet Maggie in Middlebury at the breeder. We immediately fell in love with her. She was the runt of the litter. Santa couldn't bring her to us on Christmas you see, but we were all very excited to get her on New Year's Eve.
Those Silly Reindeer
Grandma Linda gave us a super fun gift this year for Christmas. Tickets to see this cute play in Chicago the day after Christmas. It was called "Those Silly Reindeer". The beauty in the bottom picture was the Snow Princess(Morgan of course too cool to join in). So of course we had to make a day of it and visit Michigan Ave. Meg wanted to visit "American Girl" and the other two had to go to "Apple" to spend some Christmas $. It was a super fun day, that we have Grandma to thank for.
Christmas 2009
"All Meg wants for Christmas is Her Two Front Teeth"....
We had a very quiet, wonderful "jammie"Day. Just the 5 of us. We missed Grandma here with us, but she is coming in just a few days to be here for Madeline's B-day in January. One of the girls favorite gifts they received were their new hat's. Mom gave Madeline and Morgan there's, and Grandma Rudy sent Meg her's that came with matching mittens. All three girls wore them literally all day long. By far their very favorite thing they got is the letter that you see Madeline holding on the far left little picture. It is a letter from Santa you see explaining that he had arranged for the Lasley's to get a puppy. On Christmas little Maggie Annabelle was only 8 weeks old though and not quite
1 1/2 lbs. (too little to leave her Mommy). We had to wait until New Year's Eve to pick her up. - pictures to follow in an upcoming post.
Practice, Practice, Practice
Not any exciting trips for the Lasley's this Christmas break. Just gymnastics practice 6 days a week. Getting ready for a busy January. We have 4 meets -Wow! Here's a sneek peek of the girls. Morgan- level 8, Madeline- level 5, and Meg- level 3.
